South Carolina Bond Hearing

There’s just no way to express the horror and the national pain in the wake of the South Carolina church shootings. What’s even more stunning was listening to the bond hearing as a representative from each of the victims’ families came forward to make a statement.

Over and over, family members who were obviously shattered by their personal loss, said they forgave the killer and asked for God to have mercy on his soul. “We are the family that love built. We have no room for hatred. And we have to forgive,” said one of them.

I watched this three times, and had to wipe away tears each time.
