A slimy piece of legislation in Arizona is finally making it’s way to the mainstream media. We began discussing this ugly bill on June 24th. What it means is that Representative Michelle Ugenti, who was soundly rejected when she tried to introduce an HOA bill that among other things would allow convicted felons, child molesters, etc. the right to move into HOA crime free housing, sneaked her bill into law anyway!
Remember…she was voted down twice!
Also remember that the Arizona constitution mandates that every bill contain only one subject, and that one subject has to accurately depict the contents of the bill.
Silly Dilly Ugenti waited until just a few moments before Governor Jan Brewer was scheduled to sign the annual budget bill, and she slipped in a bill named ‘campaign finance’, which along with a few finance matters, also included the mandate to provide HOA housing for thugs.
Governor Brewer signed it, obviously believing that legislators who take an oath of honesty would somehow all be honest. Such gullibility. Brewer ought to be furious! Actually, Brewer should be at Ace Hardware buying a hangman’s noose.
Anyway, the inevitable lawsuit’s been filed. Ugenti’s character can now be considered ‘officially trashed’ and the matter now goes to the courts.
Really, you shouldn’t miss clicking on the first mainstream news media story linked below.
I think every dime this litigation costs the Arizona tax payers should be paid for by Representative Ugenti. If that would happen it just might stop this nonsense of legislators trying to slip unfavorable laws passed the citizens.
Hats off to those keeping their eyes on HOA corruption in Arizona and getting the media involved! Way to go!
Indeed Nila! There are a few other legislators responsible for this fiasco however, they have been exposed publicly for their part. I love your idea of making them pay, but as we all know, that never happens. Best thing we can do is put a camera in their face and make the try to explain themselves. If people start standing up to these lunatics, we may get our country back someday.
Arizona homeowners, have no clue, as to how lucky they are, to have George Staropoli on their side! Wherever evil lurks, George Staropoli is there. This month he took out AZ SB 1454, a terrible bill for homeowners. Not only did the bill allow HOA housing for thugs, it allowed property managers and management companies to sue, file liens against homeowners and practice law without a license. Who stepped up to the plate and sued Arizona’s lawless lawmakers? George did! George, is changing the way HOA boards and homeowners think and do business. He gives homeowners a voice they never had before. Thanks George, for standing up to the bullies, of all types.
